BantayBid Privacy Notice

Effective for the Public Beta quiet launch · September 2026

This notice explains how BantayBid handles personal data submitted through the public Suppliers & Partners website. For this Public Beta website, BantayBid, as operator of bantaybid.com, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data submitted through the site and acts as the Personal Information Controller for that processing. If the identity of the controller or its privacy representative changes, this notice will be updated before that change applies to public processing.

Information we collect

When you submit a business profile application, we may collect the business name, category, description, products and services, service area, website, business location information, authorized contact name, email address, phone number, advertising interest, consent choices, attestations, review history and other information you choose to provide. We also maintain limited security, audit and submission-control records needed to protect the service.

Public and private fields

Business profile information approved for publication may appear in the public directory. Contact information submitted for administration is not automatically published. You control whether the full business address, city/province only, or no location is displayed. Approval for public listing, verification, Founding Partner status, advertising status and Procurement Intelligence access are separate decisions.

How and why we process information

We process information to receive and review applications, verify authority and accuracy where appropriate, moderate and maintain public profiles, communicate about applications, respond to requests, secure the service, prevent abuse, maintain audit history, manage optional launch communications, record advertising interest and operate the continuing business relationship. Depending on the activity, processing may be based on your consent, your request for BantayBid services, BantayBid's legitimate interests in operating and protecting the platform, compliance with legal obligations, or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

First-party analytics

If you choose “Allow first-party analytics,” BantayBid may store a pseudonymous visitor identifier in your browser and record page path, referrer, campaign parameters and selected engagement events for public-site measurement and improvement. If you choose “Essential only,” the public site does not intentionally send those optional analytics events. No Meta Pixel or Google advertising cookies are active in this quiet launch.

Marketing choices

Marketing and launch-update consent is optional. Declining optional marketing does not prevent you from submitting a business profile application. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent for future processing, subject to information that BantayBid must retain for legitimate security, legal, audit or relationship-management purposes.

Recipients and service providers

We do not sell personal information to advertisers. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate BantayBid, including web-hosting, database, security and related infrastructure providers, subject to appropriate access controls and contractual or technical safeguards. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, lawful rights, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Cross-border processing

Some infrastructure and service providers used to operate BantayBid may process or store data outside the Philippines. Where this occurs, BantayBid remains responsible for applying reasonable safeguards appropriate to the processing and for requiring service providers to protect personal data consistently with applicable obligations.

Automated processing and procurement neutrality

The public Founding Partner application does not automatically approve a business, activate paid advertising, activate a Procurement Intelligence subscription or determine eligibility for a government procurement. Advertising interest and commercial relationships are not inputs to private Procurement Intelligence Fit, Readiness, Confidence, matching, recommendations or opportunity ranking.

Retention

Different records have different retention needs. Application and business-relationship records may be kept while an application, listing or continuing relationship remains active and afterward only for as long as reasonably necessary for audit, security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or legal claims. Unapproved, withdrawn or inactive application data is reviewed for deletion, anonymization or restricted archival retention when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Pseudonymous analytics and security records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for measurement, security and audit purposes. BantayBid does not intentionally retain personal data indefinitely merely for an undefined possible future use.

Security

We use access controls, protected databases, restricted public interfaces, audit records, backups and other organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the current Public Beta. No internet service can promise absolute security. If BantayBid becomes aware of a personal data breach that requires notification under applicable Philippine law, it will follow the applicable assessment and notification requirements.

Your data-subject rights

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity or authority verification, you may exercise rights including the right to be informed, the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to object to certain processing, the right to erasure or blocking where applicable, the right to withdraw consent for consent-based processing, the right to data portability where applicable, the right to claim damages where provided by law, and the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Privacy requests may be sent to privacy@bantaybid.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the requester and protect another person's data from unauthorized disclosure.

Complaints

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may first contact BantayBid so we can review and respond. You also have the right, subject to the applicable rules, to lodge a complaint with the Philippine National Privacy Commission. Official information on data-subject rights and complaint procedures is available at privacy.gov.ph/data-subject-rights and privacy.gov.ph/file-a-complaint.

Future third-party analytics or advertising

If BantayBid later activates services such as Google Analytics or Meta advertising measurement, this notice and the site's consent controls will be updated before those technologies are intentionally activated for public visitors where required.
